Long Range

Frontier Long Range
March 24, 2007

If’n you weren’t there you missed the best camp out and shoot, so fer. Longhair had a diamond shelter and Standing Eagle a forester tent.  We burnt a deer shoulder, cooked with cast iron cookware over an open campfire, which we kept for 4 days. Standing Eagle was the camp cook and a plus for all the chow that he cooked.

We are now set up for hawk throwing and split the bullet.  Pete-R-Slow showed us all. Standing Eagle split the bullet with his 40 cal. Flintlock and Longhair also did with a 36. cal. 1858 Remington cap & ball revolver.

Standing Eagle and Loraine celebrated their 31st anniversary at the Hilton, a sign above their tent. We wish them all good things.

A prospective member showed up, Dave, and shot Standing Eagle’s Flintlock. Preacherman brought out his Hawkin and 58 Remingtons. Longhair showed how they are to be loaded and Preacherman shot them. He shot both real good for the 1st time out with them. He also brought his Quigley 45/120, but we didn’t have enough time to load bullets and shoot it.

Don’t miss out on the next campout and shoot, you will be miss’n a great time.

Longhair has built a shed for the Frontier Long Range mower, loaned to use for the FLR use only.
